First Thoughts Nikon D7000 Hands On

Here is my first thoughts using, holding and going over my new Nikon D7000 camera. The very beginning of the video was done using the actual D7000 and then I switched over to the CanonT2i so I could hold the Nikon D7000 in my hands as I talked to you.

The Nikon D7000 was set to video at 1920 x 1080p High Quality and the same for the Canon (Canon does not have 2 levels of quality choices in the video selection). The D7000 was set for Auto ISO and the Canon was set to ISO 1600.

The lighting was standard room lighting with no special photography lighting used. The ceiling has 3 tungsten bulbs in the fixture up there, there is a standing floor lamp with screw-in fluorescent bulbs. The kitchen is the next room over and there are fluorescent tube lights that "might" be spilling a touch into the room.

Both cameras had their respective 50mm prime lenses on them.

The Nikon had the 50mm G F/1.4 lens and the Canon had the 50mm USM F/1.4 lens on it. The Nikon was set to A mode and I used F 1.8 and the Canon to manual and I used F 1.8 there too. Custom white balance was done to both cameras.

File rendering was done in Sony Vegas and reduced to 720 in the Vegas software.

I enjoy talking to you, set a camera in front of me and I just start talking :)   I see the comments all the time about how I can talk a lot. I try to shorten things up, but the words just keep "leaking" out :) Humor me, let it slide – lol.
